The key terms
Six sections. Six cards.
Business use, responsible testing, customer data, intellectual property, security, and liability - the short list of what matters most.
Business use and license scope
LoadGen is provided for professional business use under the agreed order, subscription and license metrics. Use is limited to the agreed scope, such as users, virtual users, agents, environments, test runs, API calls or monitoring checks.
Responsible testing and monitoring
Customers may only test and monitor systems they are authorized to assess. LoadGen must not be used for DDoS, unauthorized access, malware, credential attacks, unlawful scraping or disruption of third-party systems.
Customer data and privacy
Customers remain responsible for their data, scripts, test scenarios, credentials and configurations. Where LoadGen processes personal data on behalf of a customer, the applicable Data Processing Terms apply.
Intellectual property
LoadGen retains all rights to its software, cloud services, documentation, methods, templates, dashboards and reusable know-how. Customers retain ownership of their customer data, test scenarios and reports, subject to the limited rights needed for LoadGen to provide the service.
Security, availability and support
LoadGen applies appropriate technical and organizational security measures to its software and cloud services. Customers remain responsible for their own environments, accounts, endpoints, identity providers, firewalls and configurations.
Liability, insights and exit
LoadGen provides testing and monitoring insights to support decisions, not absolute guarantees that every issue will be detected. Liability, support levels and data export rights are described in the full Terms.
